Life facing deportation investigates the effects of US immigration policies on asylum-seekers and transit migrants forcibly returned to Mexico and Guatemala as a result of third country asylum processing agreements. It explores how migrants and their families experience risk and insecurity as well as how they navigate and mitigate the effects of such policies.
The gallery captures diverse impressions of people experiencing life under the spectre of deportation. It comprises work created by children and young people in transit as well as photos taken by those working in front line services with migrant communities.
